Fresher route

You do not need to learn everything in semester one.

The goal is to stop the random-tutorial loop: one language, computational foundations, Git, one small build and a first look at the career landscape.

A 12-week orientation

Small, boring and compounding

  1. Weeks 1–2

Use one language for variables, control flow, functions and debugging.

  2. Weeks 3–4

Arrays, strings, basic data structures and 12–15 small problems.

  3. Weeks 5–6

Git, shell, files and HTTP—observe what the computer is doing.

  4. Weeks 7–9

One tiny project with input, data, errors and a README.

  5. Weeks 10–12

Two career guides, two experiments and one provisional direction.

What not to learn yet

Reduce the noise

  • React, Flutter, AI, cybersecurity and blockchain at the same time.
  • Advanced cloud certification without foundations.
  • Collecting tutorial playlists without a project.
  • Letting AI finish an assignment when you cannot explain line 12.

Future You says

“Please learn Git now. final.zip, final-2.zip and final-real.zip are not a version-control strategy.”

Then see the landscape
